Kew Gardens
[Richmond, London]: The Hogarth Press, [1927]
By 1927, the Woolfs’ printing capabilities had improved, and Bell agreed to revisit the project in the form of a large-paper limited edition (at right). She designed head- and tailpieces plus other decorations for each page, as well as covers that are emblematic of Bell’s style. Although the sisters quarreled over details of quality and execution, they worked together all of their adult lives.
